MIDI Notes:
Every synth has its own rules what it needs as inputs/outputs to work. For example, in the Korg 001 there are no MIDI controller available. If you set up all the plugs as MIDI Notes, you can assign the MIDI

NWSynth

The NWSynth was developed to be an analogue sounding virtual analogue synth with extremely powerfull filters. You will find 2 Filters, 2 oscillators with a lot of modulations, unisono, portamento, distortion and echo and a lot of useful presets. Very smooth, warm sound and full MIDI automatisation with MIDI learn.
Reviews:
The NWSynth is, in a way, a cross between Korg’s Moog (SR-5) and the Roland Jupiter-8 with a touch of Yamaha’s DX-7, specifically sampling the Jupiter-8 and letting it run through a SR-05. Users will be familiar with the Jupiter-8’s mixable, yet full-featured sequencer, and this is a good fit.
The SR-05’s five voices can sound oddly compressed, but can be unlocked with a bit of experimentation. Neat results are achieved with these voices and the ability to play layers of sound simultaneously can sound terrific; NWSynth does an admirable job of supporting this.
It’s very hard to resist dragging the powerful and pitch-shifting waveforms, filters, and modulations through the performance section, because these can be used to unlock amazingly rich tones, especially the filter. The Jupiter-8’s sound is particularly beefy when using the filter, and the now-traditional chunky filters on the Moog and DX-7 make a rare appearance on this synth.
The sequencer is particularly unique for the Moog world. Instead of having push or set triggers that can trigger specific patterns, the synth instead has keyboard mode, which is set up like the Jupiter-8. Once set, you can select patterns with the keyboard or use the sequencer. I found that this gave some impressive results, but it’s not as feature-rich as the Jupiter-8, which is similar in function.
Although NWSynth doesn’t have any knobs, its effects and filter envelopes can be manipulated with a series of knobs on the front panel. Again, these are similar to the Jupiter-8, and are easy to get to once the synth is set up. It also allows users to create their own patches using either LFO and mod matrix, or MIDI learn for presets.
The device is 100 percent MIDI compatible, and even supports external MIDI. The only quirk here is that the MIDI ports are locked. A $20

The NWSynth is an instrument that is designed for mixing, even for live use. It has a very powerfull sound engine that has a very easy to use graphical interface where you can control your oscillators, modulations, unisono, portamento, distortion and filter with a MIDI learn sequencer.
You can mute the audio with the main sequence that the synth plays with a loud sound at the end of the sequence.
The NWSynth works in Power and Stand Alone with Standalone being the better way to use it.

What’s New in the?

Everything is located in a single window, there is no menus, no windows, nothing… Just a single window with the messages displayed when the synth is controlling the computer as a MIDI device.
This can make the workflow quite intuitive:

synth0: synthesizer

synth0: message

synth1: message

synth2: message

… and it goes on and on.

What do you need in order to work with the NWSynth?
…Just the NWSynth itself, Windows 7, the program NWSynthStudio and some MIDI-cords from your MIDI device.

Auto-connection and MIDI conversion

Starting the program is a very easy matter. Just start it, the PC will boot and the NWSynth will be freezed and communicate with your connected MIDI device. Just press “Start” and work…

The NWSynth will detect automatically the connected MIDI device and you can work with it, change the tuning, buttons, and start to make a new MIDI-part. If you have your MIDI device available on another PC, you can start to work with the NWSynth and transfer the MIDI part to the NWSynth.

Each opened MIDI-part has the form : : , in this case:
: 01:

So, if you want to open the first MIDI-part, then press “Start” and write “01: New part”.

When you finish all your MIDI part, press “Stop”. Then, if you wish, press “Save” to save all the MIDI parts into one MIDI-file, or “Save&Continue” to save the MIDI-parts one by one in their MIDI file.

The list of MIDI-parts for all the keyboard data has been stored inside the main-window of NWSynth. And each MIDI-part is automatically created by the program with the appropriate keyboard data, so, for example, pressing “1” would put a certain note on the synth.

As you know, MIDI data records many things… so:

Press “1” to put a note on synth0;

Press “2” to put a note on synth1;

Press “3” to put a note on synth2…
