How do I retrieve data from a List?

I’m working on a project that involves parsing data from a.xml file and storing it into a list. I have a few files that look like this:

Math

Math
Geography

…

And I want to store each of these skills in a list. What would be the best way to do this?
I’m used to working with Python’s XML parser, but I’m not too familiar with XPath. I’m open to using any method that would suit my needs.

  I absolutely love this game, the story is quite a bit different from both the movies and books, the combat is very fun, and the world is just absolutely stunning. Very little gets on my nerves and the combat is sometimes simple, but I’m not complaining. There are also a few shortcomings for sure, but they’re hardly game breaking. The only real problem I ran into during my experience was that some items ended up uncraftable, which is rather disappointing. Also there are two new classes not in the online multiplayer which are extremely weak that I believe will take a lot of the game’s fun out of it. But considering the amount of content this game has, I’m not mad at them for nerfing it. This game is solid in every way, if you like fantasy, dark fantasy, action, and RPGs.

  The combat system is the best in any RPG or Action RPG i’ve ever played. These games do not need a bunch of tedious work, to tell a engaging story. Their combat system is just a game in itself. The story is also a good and fun start to follow.

  This is the best game I’ve ever played. The graphics and soundtrack are superb, the story is engaging and it is so easy to pick up and play. Amazingly fun combat system and very difficult but rewarding. Simply the best medieval-fantasy RPG I’ve played to date.

  I just picked up the “Stonehell Citadel” DLC on Steam and I’m having a blast. So much stuff to do! I’m really enjoying all the interactions with various monsters and NPCs, and the combat is a blast to play. It’s also the first time I’ve played a game where I can’t really “opt out” of exploration… I always want to keep looking for the next thing I can do. It’s an addicting game that is chock full of content.
