It is found that there are four fatigue behavior branches in the diagram, indicating that four healing mechanisms may operate simultaneously on the healed sample. The different healing behaviors correspond to the different crack lengths. It is well known that the healing process is accompanied by a process of material recovery. Therefore, all specimens initially show fatigue ductile responses at the initial stage. This is because the large deformation gives rise to the recovery of crack-free areas.
